Draychem recognise the adverse effect on the printing processes of poor anilox roll maintenance. We have developed a complete service including regular anilox auditing using our unique traffic light system to enable cell volumes to be maintained and to ensure print consistency.
Draychem offer a complete one stop shop for anilox care. We supply a range of solutions for all ink types for both automatic and manual dosing. On and off press bicarbonate of soda deep cleaning is also available.
The Effect of Dirty Anilox Rolls
Dirty anilox rolls give poor coverage and leads to striations and an increase in hickies.
Reduced cell volumes give poor colour matching requiring an increase in ink strength/viscosity to achieve colour. This can also make inks tackier and increases the likelihood of wrap arounds resulting in increased downtime and costs.
As a result Draychem have developed a range of solutions to suite ink types to maintain cell volumes.
Draychem Anilox Auditing and Monitoring
In conjunction with Draychem's solutions we aim to maintain anilox volume @ 85% of volume measured after a deep clean. In order to achieve this, roll volumes are regularly audited and reported on using our unique traffic light system. 85% and above will indicate green in colour (no action required), 70% - 85% will indicate amber in colour (closely monitor), below 70% will show the colour red (will require action ie, deep clean). Anilox volumes are checked before and after guaranteeing targets are achieved.
Dosing Systems
Draychem can offer a range of dosing solutions from fully automatic to hand dosing systems. Our automated systems can dose directly into individual print units allowing the flexibility to adjust solution strengths and type. Systems can be provided on a free on loan basis.
